| ジンジャーブレッドハウスは、ドイツの伝統的なもので、昔ドイツが盛んに生姜を輸入していたころ、ドイツ人はジンジャーキャンディを作った。
それをパン風にしたものがジンジャーブレッド。それをペースト状にして家の図形に切り、それぞれ砂糖のセメントで貼り付けあわせていく。 一番楽しいパートはデコレーション!シナモン・ミントキャンデー、ジンジャーブレッドで作ったジンジャーブレッドマン。 |

Gingerbread recipe: 1 cup butter at room temperature 1-3/4 cups brown sugar 1-1/4 cups white sugar 2 tablespoons molasses 6 eggs 6 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 2 tablespoons ground ginger 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon allspice

Hi, Hiro and Todd. How are you? Kathy and I are now in Eugene in Oregon. I had a great time at Chrismas here. You made a wonderful Ginger bread house. It is very beautiful. I also enjoyed Christmas dinner with my American side family. Kathy`s second daughter lives in Manzanita on the coast. We visited her and stayed there for 3 days. The weather there was OK to me but it is a little colder than Tanabe and most days have rain. I miss clear blue sky everytime I come to Eugene.in winter. I came here December 19 and has been staying with Kathy`s first daughter. and tomorrow I`ll leave for Japan. When are you going back to Japan?
